Gina M. Ambrose
BIOGRAPHY
Gina Ambrose focuses her practice on representing healthcare clients against claims of medical negligence, nursing home negligence, and premises liability. She represents hospitals, long-term care facilities, physicians, nurses, physical therapists, chiropractors, dentists, and other healthcare providers in medical and long-term care litigation, and also is experienced in matters regarding commercial litigation. Gina has extensive litigation experience ranging from the discovery phase and motion practice to pretrials, mediations and trials.
While a law student at The John Marshall Law School, Gina was a Staff Editor of The John Marshall Law Review, and also worked as a Supervising Teaching Assistant. She was the Presiding Barrister for the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Board and Council and competed in multiple national trial advocacy competitions. Gina also served as a clinical student in the John Marshall Veterans Legal Services Clinic, helping veterans with benefits appeals and discharge upgrades.
Gina is a recipient of the 2022 Trial Lawyer Excellence Award from the Law Bulletin Media’s Jury Verdict Reporter (JVR), an award that honors the cases and career achievements of Illinois Trial Lawyers. In addition, she was named an Illinois Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in 2024 and 2025. In 2025, she was honored with the Amy Kane Memorial Award, recognizing her exceptional dedication to the legal profession and commitment to the values Amy Kane exemplified.
Gina received her undergraduate degree from Lake Forest College, where she played basketball and served as the team’s captain, as well as its representative to the college’s Athletic Council. She also devoted her time as a volunteer supporting organizations such as Special Olympics and Relay for Life.
